Satin Baseball Jackets Still Rule
Baseball / Football / Hockey /Varsity / Disco style satin jackets are my
specialty.
And my favorite gear.
It's a great look with jeans. Awesome for kicking back or ruling the club scene
with a shiny vengeance

Satin
baseball jackets have been part of American culture since the mid 1940's. Since
then no selfrespecting US jock have been without one. In the late 60's and 70's
athletic gear started to permeate into mainstream fashion and the satin jacket
became a huge fashion statement in the Disco Era. Ever since this trend has
grown and spread to the entire World. Today satin and satin jackets are very
much part of the male street and club fashion scene.
Historically the hunky Marlon Brando wore a shiny satin jacket in the classic
film "A Streetcar Named Desire" and understandably made Vivien Leigh go wild. He
did wear it very well indeed, as I'm sure you will agree.

What I
dig especially about satin jackets is the fact that the athletic, sporty
jock-look combined with the incredible, sexy shine sends out a very ambiguous
statement, which I think is very, very sexy and cool. People look at you and
don't quite know where to place you. It generates so much interest when you wear
a shiny satin jacket. It's a very cocky look, and I love that.
For
years I looked all over the world for real acetate satin baseball jackets but
came up empty handed. Sadly, most of what is available on the market today are
"satin" jackets made of somewhat shiny but very stiff DuPont nylon - NOTHING
like real satin jackets made of acetate satin. Those who have worn an acetate
jacket know what I'm talking about - incredible shine, incredible softness.
Chicks love it, guys dig it - those who haven't tried wearing an acetate satin
jacket owe it to themselves to try one on. I'll be glad to help
